For non-physician aesthetic injectors, the Aesthetic Meeting season kicks off with the Aesthetic Extender Symposium which concluded on Sunday in Miami. If you missed that meeting, there are several more that might be of interest and it is not too early to plan for next year as well! TITAN Aesthetic Recruiting will be at many of these meetings, so see which one is right for you.

This year marked the 12th year for AES and provided 5 days of education and networking for Aesthetic RN, NP and PA providers. The symposium hosted more than 400 attendees who had the opportunity to receive more than 20 hours of continuing education credit. Highlights included courses taught by Drs. Shino Bay Aguilera, David Goldberg, Michael Somenek, Michael Gold and Chris Robb as well as a neurotoxin CME panel that included Drs. Steve Yoelin and Joely Kaufman as well as Drs. Gold and Aguilera. Key non-physician speakers included NPs Meredith Harris and Kevin Harrington as well as Kelly Wala, RN. The meeting also included presentations and events sponsored by Allergan, BTL, Defenage, Galderma, ISDIN, Merz and Revance. With no pun intended, next up is the new Aesthetic Next conference powered by Aesthetic Record, a subscription-based Aesthetic EMR system. The conference will be held for the first time and will be held September 6th-8th 2019 in Dallas at the Renaissance Hotel. Friday features masters courses taught by Dr. Justin Harper and Norway’s Julie Horne, well known for her lip injecting techniques. Saturday and Sunday will feature a clinical track as well as a business track, so providers and their business team can attend together. For more information about the agenda and speakers or to register, go to www.aestheticnext.com. Clinics that use Aesthetic Record also receive additional discounts and course material.

For Nurses and Nurse Practitioners in the Aesthetic space, the highlight of the year comes in San Diego at the ISPAN conference. The International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses will gather at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego from Sept 20-23rd for a meeting that includes a facial cadaver course as well as learning tracks for Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic nurses. Held in conjunction with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), this is a great opportunity to attend a CANS (Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist) review course or to take the exam, to attend CME lectures and to visit with vendors. And ISPAN members receive a discount on the meeting, so that is a great incentive to join this peer group of nurses. Learn more or register at www.ispan.org.
